SO Mitch (who is, for some weird reason, called Jack in this blog) left for Sydney and then Melbourne yesterday arvo after a whirlwind week here in Vila.
These posts are post dated and will come in Gratitude Journal form because that is what this magical, indescribable week has made me feel the most: INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL.
1. Thank you for allowing us to be together in my second home/favourite tropical paradise.
Jack decided to come for a week to Vanuatu 2 days before I left. we were on a tram to St. Kilda and I was telling him how awesome Port Vila is and i said “oh I wish I you could see Port Vila!” I looked out the window, looked back at him with my puppy dog eyes and said in my sweetest voice “‘why couldn’t you go again?”
And the rest, as they say, is history

2. Thank you for the Iririki ferry that picks us up from the city harbour to ferry us to Iririki Island Resort after paying a consumable fee of Vt1500 (around $15) and that came to pick us up after a day of frolicking and fun.
3. Thank you for the beautiful weather. It was overcast and cloudy but considering tropical thunderstorms and torrential downpour was forecasted for the day we were extremely grateful for weather that allowed us to leave our hotel.
4. Thnk you for the time Jack was able to take to rest, unwind, chill and relax
5. Thank you for the opportunity to lounge around in the beautiful Pacific ocean

One fantastic arvo.. the type when you have plans that you know deep down you’re not going to keep.. Will & i were having a few beers at the Waterfront. We were talking about happiness, love & choices when we heard our names being called. On a beautiful speed boat were Julie & Kirsty & they were telling us to come join them! Will was supposed to be somewhere in an hour & we were both dressed for lunch but we looked at each other & shrugged. ‘Why the hell not?!’ They pulled in to the Waterfront jetty my bag was tossed on the boat, my thongs were tossed in too & I leapt for it. Will, of course being the tall freak that he is just stepped in. I introduced myself to Greg the gracious owner of the boat & settled in for the ride. They took turns on that thing (i’m sorry.. don’t know what it’s called)

will’s loving it. When the boat goes really fast they go flying!

greg on the wheel & julie getting towed on that thing
Moored for about half an hour while they swam and snorkeled. Will just jumped onff the boat shorts and all & I resisted getting into the water because I wasn’t wearing bathers. The water was too tempting though.. let’s just say thank heavens for matching undies! Ha. We headed back to Vila while the guys took turns on that thing again & Julie performed awesome stunts! That girl rocks!

she’s my hero.
It was a beautiful couple of hours & Julie said she’ll message on the next boat day!
A couple of weeks later I got a message from her “It’s boat day today! bring your bathers & we’ll see u at 2 at Nambawan”. Oh joy. There were a couple more people too & Ivan even took some time off work to join us. Good thing I was prepared this time as he threw me off the boat even after I said I’m scared!

it was overcast but still beautiful. see? this time i have bikinis!

after he threw me off the boat!

chilling out while moored
Again it was a beautiful day spent frolicking in the water, horsing around on the boat & just chilling out & relaxing.
WE HEART BOAT DAYS.
How could we not?!
